Good idea... Bad Idea...

Good idea: render the wax collected up from various efforts and render it into a clean block of wax that can be used in various ways.

Bad idea: rendering sweet honey scented wax outdoors.

I have always rendered wax inside. Today the weather was pleasant, and the idea of cleaning up wax indoors did not interest me. I thought I had the bright idea of using a propane burner outside to render the wax remnants from the last month.

While the process worked just fine... It did not take longer than 5 minutes for bees to zero in my location. 100s of bees seemed very interested in the effort, and remained interested long after the wax had cooled.
