Spring Package Install

I decided to replace some of my winter hive losses with packages bees. The packages arrived from California to Lynnville Iowa late Thursday evening. I was able to pickup my order the following day in the afternoon.

The syrup cans used to feed the bees during shipment where empty today when I installed the bees. The Carniolan queens were healthy and seemed eager to get out of their cages. It was a beautiful spring day for working outside.
